Captain's Home

This two-story, 5,200 square-foot brick structure was built in 1893 as a residence for an Army Captain and his family, stationed at Fort Sheridan. When the Army base was redeveloped for private residential use, we undertook comprehensive restoration, renovation and expansion of the home for new occupants.

In addition to restoring and renovating the existing structure, a new 2,500 square-foot addition was designed for the back of the house. The addition blends closely with the existing architectural style and construction materials. The new space includes a kitchen and breakfast room, master bedroom suite, sunroom, terraces and a four-car garage.
