FRENCH COUNTRY ESTATE RESTORATION

Restoring this elegant residence, listed in the National Register of Historic Places, required great sensitivity, as well as specialized architectural skill. The residence was designed by noted architect Edward H. Bennett, a colleague of Daniel Burnham. Our challenge was to retain the integrity and formality of the original French Renaissance design while adapting it to suit a contemporary lifestyle. We completely rehabilitated the interior and exterior and added a new front entrance, main access road and rear terrace. The project received several historic preservation awards.
