This Tudor Revival Historic Register hotel designed by William C. Jones was built in 1929. It was rebuilt after a fire in 1938, with additions designed by Stanley D. Anderson. Our firm created a comprehensive expansion and rehabilitation plan for the hotel, keeping within the Secretary for the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation and Illinois Historic Preservation Agency guidelines.
The project included the following:
- Design of new Banquet Facilities and remodeling of the Inn’s existing east wing
- Modernization of all food preparation and service facilities
- Design of new 12-unit luxury condominium building addition. Our work included the interior architectural planning of several of the individual units
- Addition of a new 56-car underground parking garage and site utilization plan
