Retro Renewal

Bold colors bloom in this retro interior renovation. In keeping with free expression and unconventional thinking of the 1960’s, the homeowner’s of this ranch house wanted to revive and expand their kitchen/laundry and make a statement with a modern design that reflects the spirit of their home’s time period. The layout of the new kitchen and laundry room lends itself to today’s domestic challenges, while still being comfortable and functional. We widened the opening from the family room to the kitchen, making the connection between the two spaces much more open. The minimalist design and materials selections are complemented by the owner’s collection of pop culture artwork, making these spaces practical and fun.
